Minimum Requirements:
B.S. Chemical Engineering with 10 + years’ experience. This person must have strong process design skills and in plant experience out of an operating chemical plant, an equipment manufacturer or hands-on experience in an engineering firm. Must have experience with specifying chemical process equipment such pumps, valves, heat exchangers or evaporators and have experience with preliminary P&ID’s and performing engineering calculations. Pluses would be experience with scale up, customer contact, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, instrumentation, controls, ASPEN and/or AutoCAD, OSHA-EPA and safety training.

Job Description:
Our client is a leading equipment manufacturer who custom design chemical processing equipment such as exchangers, crystallizers, dryers, etc. for individual clients. With every client comes a new, challenging and engaging experience. Many of the clients operate in the chemical and food industries. This person will be responsible for working with customers to design and modify specific chemical equipment to meet the individual needs of the client. To meet the specifications, this person will need to run in-house pilot studies and evaluate lab tests and perform preliminary and final cost estimates. After the data is collected, this person will simulate the process, prepare preliminary P&ID’s work with an equipment fabricator and out source the construction phase and assist on equipment start-up and then perform process validation. This role will require about 25% travel (on average) to clients both domestic and international. This is just one of several divisions within the larger company.
