This is an opportunity to get in the door with one of the top chemical manufacturing and refinery companies in the World. They have facilities throughout the United States and are a privately held company with some of the highest safety standards in the business. This position will be based at one of their facilities near Joliet that manufactures petrochemicals using a continuous process. This person will be responsible for many things including process optimization and production support and will regularly interface with plant safety and EHS personnel as well as corporate engineering and project teams. This company actively promotes from within, both at this facility and to other facilities within the company and this role will be an inside track to those promotions. The parent company is a MULTI-BILLION dollar chemicals manufacturer and oil refiner. Relocation assistance is available and will be tailored to fit your needs.
Candidates must possess, at minimum, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and have at least 5 years of process engineering experience in either a continuous manufacturing operation or within a refinery. Candidates need to have experience with continuous reaction and continuous distillation as both of those unit operations are used at this facility. The real key to doing well in an interview with this company is culture-fit. Candidates must possess good communication skills, be able to demonstrate a safety-conscious mindset and have a track record of successful process optimization work. Interview expenses will be covered and travel associated with this role will be minimal.
