Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering required – ideally Electrical but will consider other engineering degrees
  • 8+ years of post-college manufacturing experience – could be any type of industrial manufacturing environment
  • An ideal candidate would have experience with both DCS and PLC controls – but they will consider people with strong backgrounds in either PLC or DCS controls and associated instrumentation
  • Other pluses would be migration experience – this company is slowly shifting from PLC to DCS controls at some of their plants – and experience with power distribution systems (480V, 4160V)
  • Must have excellent communication skills as this person will interface with many different types of people within the company, at all levels
  • Must be willing to travel 50-60% of the time. Someone based at the Philadelphia facility might only have to travel 30-40% of the time, and would not travel much at all for the first year because of a large project that is happening there. Someone based in Denver will travel at the 50-60% level.
Job Description:
This person will serve as a corporate subject matter expert in the area of process control systems for the company – they currently primarily use PLC systems and HMIs, but are slowly migrating their plants to DeltaV (Emerson) DCS systems. This person will travel to different facilities to help on projects (including project management oversight), help with particularly difficult issues and provide general expertise to plant process controls and electrical engineers. Essentially, this person will serve as an internal consultant. The parent company is a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company that has been around for over 100 years.  They have a low amount of turnover and just last year, they honored two people who had been with the company for over 50 years. This company operates facilities around the World. They offer a very competitive benefits package and relocation assistance is available.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000/yr. base salary – 10% target bonus, full benefits, relocation assistance available
