Company Overview:
This company has been a client of mine now for almost 3 years and I can definitively say that they are unique. From people I have placed here, to my own firsthand experience in visiting their facilities and talking with their people, they do things differently. They take care of their employees, they (truly) care about their customers and they are growing quickly. Their offices in Lexington KY (population 300,000+) are right off of the Bourbon Trail and are located in the heart of Equine Country. Lexington itself is about an hour from Louisville, KY and about 90 minutes from Cincinnati – all of which offer world-class universities (University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and University of Cincinnati), a full-slate of professional and college sports teams and a myriad of entertainment options.

Job Description:
This person will work at a facility that houses manufacturing, R&D and administrative personnel for this $2B additives manufacturer. They will have a 12-person team reporting to them and will frequent face-time with one of the owners of the company. The idea behind this role is to have this person start to test and implement changes to the preventive maintenance program, as well as start to develop and test a predicative maintenance program that can then be rolled out to other facilities within the company. Because of the visibility of this role within the company and the lack of a robust internal maintenance/reliability function within this company, this person will have a fast advancement opportunity into a global maintenance/reliability management position that will be responsible for setting strategy for facilities throughout the company. Travel for this role will vary and could be heavy at times.

Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of post-college, industry experience
  • Could be out of foods, chemicals, agri-business, or something related
  • Must have previous supervision experience
  • Must know predicative and preventive maintenance methodologies
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) accreditation is a big plus
  • Should have experience using CMMS software (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
