Job Description:
This person will be the manager of a small group of high-performing SAP and MES specialists that support operations and manufacturing excellence across this division which encompasses a total of 25+ facilities. Specifically, this group helps with the standardization of process work flows, works to determine which production and manufacturing metrics are used and how best to use those metrics, and guides this business unit towards increasing levels of efficiency. This person will manage two maintenance SAP specialists, an internal MES specialist and a manufacturing specialist. This role will involve travel, averaging about 40-50%, to interface with facility leadership teams and working to get the buy-in of management personnel or oversee program rollouts. Advancement from this role would be into production, operations or plant manager roles. Another aspect of this role will be in longer-term planning, helping to develop multi-year plants to meet strategic KPI targets.
Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. or B.A. degree required – engineering preferred, but open to others
  • 10+ years of post-college experience
  • Must either be an expert, or be very well-versed in SAP, ERP and MES systems
  • Must have demonstrable leadership skills, previous supervisory experience would be a big plus
  • Company favors people with a background in the chemicals industry (or something closely related), but will consider other industry backgrounds – experience in the systems mentioned above is more important than having experience in a specific type of industry. As an example, the last person in this role was in IT
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time – most of the travel will be Monday-Thursday, but there will be occasional trips overseas that are longer
About the company:

This company has a very competitive benefits package which includes up to a 9% 401K match ($-for-$ on employee contributions up to 6% and the company kicks in an additional 3% on top of that). Relocation assistance is available.
