Job Description:
This plant produces high purity specialty chemicals (PPM) and gases that are used in the electronic materials business for etching (all end products are gases). This site is expanding, is highly profitable and is the crown jewel of our client. On-site unit operations include reaction, distillation, compression, heat-exchangers, etc. This is a new position and the site is a medium size plant so the job responsibilities vary widely. This person will be responsible for scale-up, overseeing plant retrofits to accommodate new products, specification of new equipment that would include P&IDs -PFDs and computer simulation work. This person will assist project engineers with installation and start-up of plant retrofits and expansions and will assist production engineers on-site who handle day-to-day support and production troubleshooting. This plant is located very close to the Oregon/California border. The parent company is a multi-billion dollar company and have many US and overseas plants. Relocation is available.
